Some people just don't get the bottom line. The Fed getting involved with unemployment, minimum wages, and yes, even the 16th amendment giving Congress the power to tax income is unconstitutional. "How can the 16th amendment be unconstitutional, since it's in the constitution," you ask? Look it up. If you can find any evidence that the 16th amendment was legitimately ratified then you're smarter than I am and I have searched the world over.
The fact is that people with power have pushed through a lot of unconstitutional crap over the last century or so and it tends to become legitimized through precident and institutionalization. That doesn't make it right or constitutional, it just means we are used to it.
I have had it. If you want ANYTHING other than protection of your liberty from government, then cry to your state and leave the feds out of it. This i snot a nation built from the top down with power at the top. This was a nation that the states agreed to give only certain powers to at a federal level, all other powers have been usurped.
I am glad to see that finally, starting with Virginia and Texas, many states are starting to take the 10th amendment to heart. I think it is possible the first time anyone in any state government has actually read it in a hundred years or so. States are always so happy to illegally and unconstitutionally hand over power to the feds for a bribe here and a kickback there. ENOUGH!
One example is this : most people assume that the legal drinking age in the United States is 21. Incorrect. There is no federal drinking age. It would be unconstitutional for the federal government to set a drinking age without a constitutional amendment at the very least. How did they get around this little obstacle? The states took federal tax dollars for highway funding as a bribe to raise the legal drinking ages to 21. This was all political, did zero for decreasing deaths caused by drinking and driving and made some organizations like MADD rich.
Our founding fathers, (George Washington in particular, being a tobacco farmer) must be rolling over in their graves over the punative tax rates set on tobacco products!
We would have no deficit or debt problem, let alone an unemployment problem if the damn federal government would just get to the job they are constitutionally supposed to be doing and keep out of the rest of it. he earned income tax credit already pays low-income workers. So get rid of the minimum wage altogether and don't add any extra wage-paying bureaucracy... just let the EITC boost income up to the current minimum wage. In other words, we can do everything you suggest by simply abolishing the federal minimum wage law. Added benefit: the state minimum wage laws would fall like dominos as the more socialist states go bankrup. Here's a plan: Give the younger generations a choice to opt-out of social security and save on their own. The elimination of 6.5% payroll taxes on both the employer and employee would go very far in creating new jobs while lowering prices as a result of lower costs. How about elimination of the minimum wage, which artificially inflates the cost of goods and services and creates job losses as a result of forcing employers to pay certain employees more than their services are reasonably worth. The minimum wage also attracts illegals and gives employers incentive to hire them under the table. Instead of paying unemployment to someone immediately after losing their job or their factory closes for two weeks, let's pay unemployment compensation as a match on compensation earned up to a specified amount. For example, if you lose your job, you must find another job (any job, minimum wage or otherwise) before unemployment will start. And it matches your compensation up to a specified amount and for a specified time. This would require those unemployed to seek jobs right away instead of wasting a year pretending to look for a job because they can't seem to find a job that pays what they used to make. It's amazing that people always seem to find jobs when unemployment runs out.
Other ideas?
How about having the option of setting up emergency funds tax free where employees can contribute through payroll deductions? Let the people provide their own unemployment insurance when they lose their jobs. Bypass government all together. The progressives want minimum wages to limit the supply of labor to drive up wages. It is the same rationale for using unions that create super minimum wages in sub sections of the economy. In fact, progressives don't want a minimum wages, they want HIGHER minimum wages. Progressives must therefore be educated that only actual productivity growth increases real wages, at which point they would no longer be progressives. Good luck.

Tax credit for Employers
We don't have to reinvent the wheel, we have to get rid of the democrats and institute economic policies that benefit working American citizens not the parasitic elitist scum in DC and their handmaidens.

And creating govt jobs that become an added burden on the taxpayer is the absolute backward thing to do; we need private sector jobs that contribute via taxes not public sector jobs that are now paid for by taxpayers. You'd think we elected marxist bums. You would think that with so many simple minded people in Washington they could understand a simple concept.
When employers need more workers, they hire them. Giving them an artificial reason to hire people is not going to help the economy.
Putting more money in their pocket(by means of tax cuts) gives them the option of using it in the way that best helps their business. They may use the money for inventory, delivery truck, advertising or any other number of things. But they are in the position of knowing how best to use capital, not some bureaucrat in Washington.
Any money spent will help boost the economy, thus the hiring might not come from the business owner directly, but at the place the money is spent.
It would be like the DC folks telling Billings, Mt. how to handle a snow storm. It's even worse. The "jobs" bill as it was being proposed would have offered a $5,000 tax credit ONLY to those who hired someone unemployed more than 60 days, AND the "job" would have to pay $104,000/ year. Then if they kept that employee for one year, they'd be eligible for another $1,000 in tax relief.
Oh wow, a $6,000 incentive to hire an employee at $104,000 in an economy that can't support the employees you already have. Who wouldn't jump at that opportunity? When every one of the 48% of Americans who play by the rules, work to succeed, and pay taxes get fed up with the idiots warming seats in DC here is my idea to get their undivided attention. Change your with holding to maximum deduction, if every one does it we will have their undivided attention in about two weeks, no more MONEY coming in! Of course it only works if practically everyone plays. Need more motivation, when they bankrupt this country, who would you rather have with your money, them or you? Do not think for one minute they will jump to help you, no they will give help to the same people who get better medical treatment, free cell phones, free cars. Yep redistribution O style! ....Blah Blah. the idiots we have in Wonderland (Washington DC) don't wanna help us!!!!!!!! They know these tax credits won't work common sense and history both make that obvious. They don't wanna help us they have there own progressive agenda. The real problem is our two party system in which both parties offer the same thing: progressivism. The fact that corporations can weigh in on the political process does not bother me – let them. We already have these creepy politicians spending their entire career building campaign "war chests" worth millions of dollars, so the message is being controlled as it is.
If you would like to change what's happening in DC, a good start for us would be to VOTE THEM OUT. VOTE THEM ALL OUT. Let's start over! I would rather fight up hill to get the right person elected than have my rights censored in any fashion. Doing something like this in order to 'protect' the 'stupid' or uneducated of America is wrong. There have always been companies willing to give money for one political reason or another. The difference now is that the people that we allow to be elected are not all honest hard working people that are in touch with the everyday man. You want less corruption and such then you need to take a personal interest in where you put your vote and research before you cast it! Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
I don't understand how anything so simple could be surrounded by so much confusion.

Congress desperately needs people who actually understand finance and the realities of making businesses grow rather than those who are guided by academic economists. has no honor. We should all be contacting our Reps and Sens and telling them to cut the perks. How much money could be saved if we cut back on their perks. Our country is in serious debt so it seems like a real good time for them to start saving some of OUR money.

More specifically, the government and its agents have no right to access our medical records, or require bills to contain “ICD codes,” “CPT codes,” or an other contrivances intended to reveal the contents of our medical records to the government or its agents for any purpose, including the determination of what tests and treatments are provided or reimbursed, as the right to make such decisions belongs solely to patients and their doctors.

Whereas our government has no Constitutional authority or right to dictate the nature or contents of private contracts, we hereby declare: In our employer-employee relationships we have the right to negotiate compensation and benefits that best meets our needs, free of government-dictated requirements for health insurance or any other benefits that we may not want or need.
6. Whereas we have a fundamental Constitutional freedom to spend the fruits of our labors according to our own preferences and values; and the government has no Constitutional authority to force us to buy any specific types of products or services, we hereby declare: We have the right to buy or NOT BUY health insurance and all other products and services according to our own needs and preferences. Furthermore, the government has no right to dictate the nature of any such insurance or other products or services that we choose to purchase.
7. Whereas we are a free people, responsible for our own actions and their consequences, and entitled to the benefits thereof; and whereas the risk of most serious or chronic illnesses is well proven to depend more on personal lifestyle choices than genetics or chance (for example, approximately 90% of diabetes, heart disease, stroke and cancer can be prevented by optimum diet and lifestyle), we hereby declare: We have the right to enjoy both the health and financial benefits of our lifestyle choices; and the government has no right to force those who choose healthy lifestyles to subsidize the increased medical risks of those who choose unhealthy lifestyles; and we have the right to choose health insurance that rewards us for healthy lifestyle choices.

From the very beginning, it was about our Social Democrat Party being hell bent on foisting socialism (in the form of social democracy) on an unwilling American people. This has been the singular ambition of the Social Democrat Party since FDR.
Moreover, the all important “public option” was nothing more than an attempt to repeat FDR’s gotcha that everyone be forced into Social Security under the rationale that anyone who contributes a large percentage of his income for his entire working life will, first, be unwilling to give up the attendant benefits and, second, will be unable to invest in a private plan that might enable them to do so.
This original abuse of power and denial of our freedom set the stage for it’s repeat performance with health care, dragging us inexorably down into the pit of socialism via the cesspool of politics.
Finally, make no mistake, socialism is still the goal of the left and will forever remain the goal, whether achieved by hook or crook, whether achieved in health care by a public option or by other crooked means.

Preamble: Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty, and from time to time it becomes necessary for free people to stand up and shake off the yoke of government oppression. Now is that time for American patients and physicians.
The United States of America is the world’s wealthiest nation because we enjoy a free-market economy where the providers and consumers of goods and services compete and negotiate freely to determine the most desirable goods and services, and their most efficient prices. But for many decades now the US government, through Medicare and Medicaid, has insidiously promoted widespread abuse of insurance, and imposed Marxist price controls and central management policies on our healthcare industry, in defiance of both fundamental economic principles and American ideals.
Prior to World War II, when abuse of health insurance first became widespread, healthcare accounted for less than 5% of the US GDP (Gross Domestic Product). Prior to 1965, when the US Congress introduced Medicare, enshrining massive abuse of insurance in law, healthcare was less than 6% of GDP. And prior to the 1980’s, when the US Government forced price controls and central management policies on doctors and hospitals, healthcare was still less than 9% of GDP. Now it’s 17.3% of GDP and climbing, thanks to the US Congress.
The obvious and predictable result of our government’s violation of economic principles and American ideals has been rampant healthcare inflation, unbridled inefficiency, ever-increasing frustration of both patients and physicians, and the flight of medical innovation overseas. Instead of admitting and correcting the obvious blunders of the past, Medicare and Medicaid have intruded ever-deeper into the patient-doctor relationship, requiring doctors to “code” medical bills in an arbitrary, complicated and expensive way for the sole purpose of enabling computers to probe into private medical records and to automatically refuse payment for tests and treatments.
Amazingly, even now, Congress is trying to further mutilate our healthcare system, at a cost of trillions of taxpayer dollars, through a virtual government takeover of all aspects of our healthcare economy. We are not, and will never be, a communist or socialist nation. Rather, we are a nation of free people, willing and able to care for ourselves, and for those who are less fortunate. We will not tolerate a government that robs us of our freedoms and the fruits of our labors.
Therefore, in defense or our rights as a free people, we hereby declare:

Obama to campaign for Harry Reid.
Has obama learned his lesson yet? Whenever President Obama campaigns for someone , they lose! I am
Curious to see if the Obama curse keeps up and Reid loses in November. So far, the surest way to lose anything is have Obama's support. President Barack Obama is in Nevada today to hold events with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), whose popularity back home continues to lag in the months leading up to his re-election contest. Seeing what Obama did to "Help" statewide candidates in VA, NJ & MA (I still can't believe that last one!), Dingy Harry and Bennet better start folding up their respective tents, now. Wow, from messiah to political turd-in-the punchbowl in only one year? That's a shame. Margaritas and party hats anyone? I mean this with all my heart, if Paris Hilton were running against Mr. Reid, I would vote for her. She has no political savy and wouldn't know how to begin to get a bill passed. But I would vote for her. And I really believe most of the country would do the same.
Just think of it Mr. Reid, a ditzy blond whose one big contribution to the world was to teach us how NOT to behave, would gladly be chosen over you.
Mr. Reid, doesn't that make you feel like stinky poo poo? obviously, Obama has now become the Demoncrap's secret campaign-torpedo weapon. I wonder what the puppet masters of the administration have against Hairy Weed that they would launch the O-bomb against him...let me see if I get this right: the moron-in-chief bad-mouths Vegas on several occasions. His poll numbers are sinking like a stone. He’s campaigned & failed miserably in VA, NJ & MA. Hell, he can’t even get the Olympics for his home town or convince a bunch of liberals in Copenhagen to get serious about his pet global warming stuff. Reid’s poll numbers are sinking like a stone too. So this pair will succeed how? I believe It's official now, TARP is Obama' personal Slush Fund, he's dolling out $1.5 million dollars today, trying to by votes for Reid. Can someone tell me , is this man ever in the whitehouse? Oh wait thats right he has his CZARS to take care of what HE is suppose to do as PRESIDENT!

Jenny Sanford and her interview /book
Republicans are grateful to find out about Sanford before he ran for Pres. We want the press to expose this sort of thing. I mean this man is a despicable little puke...may he be kicked in the privates while being mugged during his next trip to Argentina... I hate to tell you But it takes two to make a marriage and two to break it. Why on Earth is jenny his wife doing an interview about the affair with anyone at all? If she were the paragon everyone thinks she is she would have said no and kept her mouth shut about things that aren't any of our business.
And to think that he was recently our leading dark horse for 2012. Had this not come out now, we might have had an Edwards family redux. Maybe she's doing these interviews to sell her book. I don't even see how she could be emotionally at the point to write about what happened, but to each his own.
Can someone explain What is it with these people writing books, appearing on Oprah, etc. to divulge private information about their intimate relationships? It's sickening.
Memo to Jenny Sanford: go away and stay away. I can't understand why she feels the need to discuss this with the world. These matters are best discussed with close family and friends and that's it. She was doing so well when she was keeping quiet and standing strong. And, 20/20 of all places. Wrong move. Move on. I hope she is not allowing bitterness to set in. He doesn't seem to be worth it. I feel for her, but dang. As if, upon discovering the reality of her husband Mark Sanford's infidelity was not bad enough, Jenny Sanford reports in a new memoir that the South Carolina governor actually asked her advice with regards to his affair. If she had such low self esteem to marry someone that omitted "faithful" from their vows, then she got exactly what she deserved.Move on lady. You are an idiot who married an idiot. At least try to raise your kids right. I mean He cheats on his wife, humiliates his children, lies about his whereabouts with his staff and his constituents. What is a conservative, God fearing, Christ following politician to do?Well, if the man cannot keep the vow, and he rewrites it into a watered down vow, maybe he's not such a bad guy! (sarcasm) If you are saying that Christians don't do these things, then you have your head in the sand. The difference is that some Christians hide behind their
religion and make sure to attend church services every Sunday to justify
